The side effects of NSAIDS
Many people have heard the term NSAIDS. These are drugs that are prescribed for pain, inflammation and if someone is running a temperature.
NSAIDS are non-steroidal non-inflammatory drugs. They come in tablets, capsules, suppositories, gels, creams, injections. Some can be bought over the counter and some need to be prescribed by a medical doctor.
There are side effects to taking these drugs:
1. They put a strain on your organs: The liver, kidneys, stomach and other organs have to cleanse this drug out of the system putting strain on the organs and systems. This can lead to heart failure, heart attacks and strokes.
2. Indigestion can occur: Stomach aches, nausea, diarrhea or constipation can occur
3. Stomach ulcers
4. Headaches
5. Drowsiness and fatigue
6. Dizziness
7. Allergic reactions: Your body doesn't always like foreign substances. You may experience rashes, inflammation, vomiting, breathing issues, anxiety among other symptoms.
Pain and inflammation is always a stress response of the brain and body. It is telling you something is wrong. Suppressing these signals long term will not only mask and hide the issue but lead to other areas of the body becoming stressed and dysfunctional.
